You have a website\, Twitter\, Facebook\, and your author bios on Amazon\, Goodreads\, and others\; all great mediums to creating a ‘platform’...\n\n    Now\, how to get people to notice your masterpiece?\n    Book reviews are where many readers look for new books and new authors\, and the importance of potential readers seeing what others thought of your work cannot be overstated.\n    Reviews are also the best feedback an author can get about their writing. They can be exceptionally valuable at pointing out what you did well and not so well and\, in general\, how your writing is viewed by people other than your friends and relatives. If you listen to what your readers tell you\, your subsequent books can only get better.\n    In an age where social media and word of mouth play a central role in the success/failure of a story\, having an upcoming book reviewed is a must.\n    Getting those first reviews\, however\, is work.\nAward-winning author and publisher Lina Simoni will discuss the process and strategies to gather book reviews.       \n        The presentation will explain:\n        *  How the book review process works.\n\n\n          * Which steps an author or publisher should take to have their books reviewed by the right people at the right time.\n\n          *  The associated costs. \n\n          * Roles of Netgalley and the IBPA (Independent Book Publishers Association) in the book-review process\n\n         *A fabulous topic for discussion\,\n     this presentation will benefit anyone who is published\, has a manuscript\, is considering writing for publication or is simply interested in the steps associated with the writing process.\n   \n   Not yet a member?
