Robert Masello is an award-winning journalist, television writer, and the best-selling author of many books, most recently the historical thriller entitled The Romanov Cross, published by Bantam/Random House (2013). The book has received starred reviews.
Previous novels include Vigil (a USA Today bestseller) and its sequel Bestiary, The Medusa Amulet, published in 2011 and Blood and Ice, published in nine languages and in an audio version. His nonfiction book, Robert’s Rules of Writing: 101 Unconventional Lessons Every Writer Needs to Know, was selected as a Back-to-School Essential by Barnes and Noble, and it has since been adopted in many high school and college classrooms.
As a journalist, Robert Masello has contributed countless articles, essays and profiles to such publications as New York Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, New York Newsday, The Washington Post, Town and Country, Travel & Leisure, TV Guide, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Elle, People, Parade, and The Wilson Quarterly. For six years, he wrote the immensely popular “His” column in Mademoiselle Magazine, and occasionally moonlighted as “Jake” in Glamour.
