The Festival of Books is a two-day celebration of music,comedy, photography, film, art, food – and of course, books.The Festival began in 1996 with a simple goal: to bring together the people who create books with the people who love to read them. The event attracts approximately 150,000 people each year to the indoor conversations (tickets at $1 each are required), to the outdoor exhibits of booksellers, publishers, and literacy organizations, and to the multiple outdoor stages for live music, poetry readings, chef demos, and more.

Saturday, April 18, 2015 @ 7:00 a.m. A luxury bus will pick-up passengers at Sam’s Club parking lot (north parking lot by gas station), 34220 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, CA. Expect the drive of approximately 3hrs to USC campus for festival drop-off.

PSWG is offering the bus-trip only. Participating in festival activities is at the at the discretion of the individual. PSWG will not be escorting, directing or making reservations for festival activities and/or speakers.

Passengers will return to the bus for the 4:00pm departure from the festival and driven back to Sam’s Club parking lot by approximately 7:00 pm. 

*Actual hours of Festival are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

  • Guests & Non-members: $40.00
  • Pre-Payment Registration is required to confirm your seat. 
  • Sorry! No door sales.
  • Online payment is available and is immediate.
  • Payment by check: PSWG, P.O. BOX 947, Rancho Mirage, CA 92247. Include contact information and Workshop Title on all checks. Checks may take 7-14 days to process.
  • PSWG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Tax ID #43-2093738.
  • Cancellation Policy requires a 72-hour prior notice for full refund less credit card fees. 
  • Registration for this event closes 4/06/15.

PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of 45 reservations is required for this trip. PSWG reserves the right to cancel the bus trip if this minimum is not met.
