Presenting Our First Annual Retreat to the Heat

August 10-13, 2025

Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting your journey, our first annual retreat is designed to help you unlock your full potential in the serene desert oasis of Palm Springs, California. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Sonoran Desert, our retreat offers the perfect balance of inspiration and relaxation. All proceeds benefit the Palm Springs Writers Guild, a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization.

  • Three nights accommodations at the beautiful Hotel Zoso in the heart of Palm Springs, August 10-13, 1025

Your Retreat Instructors and Guides

Eduardo Santiago

Author: Midnight Rumba and Tomorrow They Will Kiss (Edmund White Award). Written for the LA Times, The Advocate, and Out Traveler Magazine. The film of his screenplay, Proof Sheet, just released.

Jayce Carter
Jayce writes spicy reverse-harem stories, often of the paranormal variety. She adores pairing sexy male characters with female characters who have to learn their own power and take control.

Noël Alumit
Noël Alumit is an American novelist, actor, visual artist, and activist. He has received many awards, including the Stonewall Book Award, the James Duggins Mid-Career Prize, and a COLA Fellowship.

Dan López
Dan, based in Los Angeles, is an Editor at Counterpoint Press. His interests include literary and commercial fiction, and cultural histories.

Ken Sherman
Ken is a Los Angeles-based agent for book, film, and television.
