If I Can Do It...YOU Can Do it: Sometimes Ignorance is Bliss
presented by
Lucinda Sue Crosby

For the past 20 or so years,
Lucinda Sue Crosby has made a good living at and received wide-spread
recognition for a slew of word-centric endeavors. From Nashville songwriting to
commissioned poetry to journalism to literature to environmental activism to
political blogging - all these and more represent hats worn (and juggled) by a
story-relishing, word-treasuring author wannabe during those decades. But
Lucinda Sue never finished college and never took a writing course. So … how the
heck did she DO IT?
Please join this engaging speaker as she
dishes the truth about her life-long love affair with the written and spoken
word; the constant starting from scratch with each new challenge; her early ignorance
and naiveté; her stress-filled deadlines; the treacherous learning curves; the
ego smashing lows; the inklings of comprehension and capability; the joys of
acknowledgement from self and others; and finally, a willingness to admit, even
in public, “I am a writer.”
About this presenter:
Lucinda Sue Crosby is an Amazon bestselling author,
an award-winning journalist and environmental activist, a published &
recorded Nashville songwriter and a commissioned poet. She is also a long-time
Hollywood actress, former professional tennis player and In-Demand tennis
commentator for the WTA tour.
Crosby has had a love affair with the written word
since she was three years old when she accidentally taught herself to read. Her
twin passions for a delicious character-driven story and the power of the written word led her to tackle the array of above-mentioned word-centric
genres as well as her currently flourishing literary career, for which she
earned selection by TheAuthorShow.com in 2011 as "One of 50 Authors Great You
Should be Reading."
Her novel, Francesca
of Lost Nation, won five literary prizes and has been a Kindle bestseller. Highly productive, Crosby has also authored
two other Kindle bestsellers: The
Adventures of Baylard Bear - a story about being DIFFERENT … a children's fiction
with an adoption theme for ages 4 to10 … and $ell more Ebook$ - How to increase sales and Amazon rankings using
Kindle Direct Publishing … a book marketing guide for indie authors.
Finally, look on Amazon for Crosby’s newest piece – a disturbing extended essay
called Water in the West: the scary truth
about our most precious resource.
Crosby’s next novel, The Cancer Club – an irreverent tale of survival is based on a true
story and scheduled for release in 2014.
