Writers Workshop:Writing Your Inner Desert
with Ruth Nolan M.F.A., M.A. Professor of English, College of the Desert
Join us to spend a wonderful afternoon writing about the desert! Participants will draw on our exotic and enticing Coachella Valley and Mojave Desert setting as the inspiration and starting point to help then generate their own creative writing pieces during this fun and productive workshop. Workshop leader and desert writer Ruth Nolan will provide numerous writing prompts, some drawn from well-known desert writing, and participants will be encouraged and inspired to write their own desert writing samples in essay, fiction and poetic forms, during the workshop. All levels of writers/beginning writers are welcome. Come and join us to share an afternoon writing about our beloved desert!
