Workshop Description:
Win an Agent with Your Pitch

Bring your draft pitch—whether that's a one-sentence elevator pitch, your query letter, or the verbal pitch you intend to present at a writers' conference.

In a group setting, literary agent Cynthia Manson and editor Caitlin Alexander will workshop your pitch and give you targeted advice to help you refine it. Between them, they’ve worked on books in almost every genre and have plenty of experience being wowed (and not so wowed) by writers' pitches. We'll break apart for time you can use to revise your pitch, during which Cynthia and Caitlin will be available for additional feedback. After that, you'll have the option of pitching Cynthia and Caitlin—either as practice or because you are seeking a literary agent and feel your project might fit Cynthia's list.

Workshop Schedule:

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
